2026 Frog Log - Week 2

I began monitoring the pools at Stormanstown Bog for frog mating activity in late February, but I unfortunately missed the initial activity. While the frogs themselves were gone, I found several clumps of frogspawn in the High Bog area. Interestingly, while the spawn was concentrated in just one pool last year, it is now spread across most of them in that area.

Next year, I'll make sure to begin monitoring sooner so I don't miss anything.
